1600 PANDAS+ WORLD TOUR
2014 | Art & Exhibition

1600 Pandas World Tour was launched in 2008 by WWF-France and acclaimed French artist Paulo Grangeon, who crafted 1600 pandas - the number of living pandas left in the wild - in various sizes with recycled materials in the form of paper mache, to spread out the importance of species conservation and sustainable development. Starting from 2014, ARR collaborated with French artist Paulo Grangeon to curate “1600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong : Creativity meets Conservation”, then toured to Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand to spread the message of conservation and sustainability. Flashmob Touring, Paper Mache Panda Workshop, Paper Mache Pandas Adoption Scheme and Volunteer Team has been created and formed for the tour to enhance public engagement.
